This is the show where it all started. Joey was closing out the festival and faced a packed house at Hitt Records. Zach came to watch his friend. There was a drumset on stage and for some reason - Zach asked if he could play. Not knowing any of the tunes. Joey’s face lit up, and Zach climbed on stage just before the first note. He didn’t even reposition the drums. The rest was history. Zach’s energy propelled Joey to new heights, laying down grooves that moved everyone in the house. Folks were hanging from the windows, the staircase, and lined up outside. The magic was in the air. Open Air Sound got to witness. The Columbia Missourian Newspaper took note in a feature story.
